The group of men from Phase 6 and surrounding areas has been preparing and serving hot food every Sunday since February last year, reaching about 300 children.
The initiative is supported through personal contributions from members as well as assistance from local taxi drivers.
It aims to ensure that children who spend time on the streets have access to a nutritious meal and community support.

Athletes in Bedfordview have raised more than R800 000 for the Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa through the Spartan Baby Badass Ultra endurance event.
The 24 hour challenge saw participants take on continuous running, rowing and swimming, completing set distances every hour while pushing through sleep deprivation and extreme physical demands.
Now in its fifth year, the event brought together competitors, volunteers and supporters in a shared effort to raise funds for children and families affected by cancer.
