Hoërskool Birchleigh has received a sponsorship from telecommunications infrastructure company IHS Towers to support its growing soccer programme.
The donation includes training bibs and essential equipment for 96 learners, helping to strengthen participation and development in the sport at the school.
IHS Towers says the initiative forms part of its broader commitment to investing in communities and supporting youth development through education and sport. School leadership says the support comes at a crucial time as soccer continues to expand at the school.

Bathusi Feeding Scheme in Bloemfontein is bringing relief to vulnerable children through weekly meals.
The group of men from Phase 6 and surrounding areas has been preparing and serving hot food every Sunday since February last year, reaching about 300 children.
The initiative is supported through personal contributions from members as well as assistance from local taxi drivers.
It aims to ensure that children who spend time on the streets have access to a nutritious meal and community support.

Athletes in Bedfordview have raised more than R800 000 for the Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa through the Spartan Baby Badass Ultra endurance event.
The 24 hour challenge saw participants take on continuous running, rowing and swimming, completing set distances every hour while pushing through sleep deprivation and extreme physical demands.
Now in its fifth year, the event brought together competitors, volunteers and supporters in a shared effort to raise funds for children and families affected by cancer.
