UKZN professor honoured with inaugural global dermatology award

University of KwaZulu-Natal dermatology head Professor Ncoza Dlova has received the inaugural Beiersdorf Icons of Care Award, recognising global leaders in skincare and medical innovation.
The award followed a review of more than 100 dermatologists worldwide, with Dlova recognised for her work in research, teaching and patient care.
UKZN says she has made a significant contribution to medical education and holds a strong international profile, including leadership roles on several global dermatology boards.
The professor, who was the first African dean of UKZN’s School of Clinical Medicine, will be formally honoured at an event in Denver in the United States later this week.
