SPAR teams up to aid flood-hit families

SUPERSPAR Khayelitsha and SPAR Mandela partnered with community leaders to support families affected by recent flooding in the Western Cape.
The stores served hot soup and helped pack and distribute more than 5,000 food hampers to households in hard-hit areas of Khayelitsha.
Community representatives and ward councillors helped identify families most in need and ensured the aid reached them.

Dinosaur centre in Free State draws 100,000 visitors in first year

The Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretation Centre in the Golden Gate Highlands National Park, in the Free State, has attracted more than 100-thousand visitors in its first year of operation.
Since opening in June last year, the Free State attraction has welcomed thousands of learners and educators, offering interactive exhibits that showcase Africa's prehistoric heritage.
SANParks says the centre has also boosted tourism and created economic opportunities for nearby communities.
