As Madiba Day approaches, Care Bears from Cedar Lakes are gearing up to make a meaningful impact.
Led by Lisa Sukdev, the team began their preparations on 23 June by purchasing essential items at a Fourways grocery store.
They are calling on the generous Fourways community to donate non-perishables, dry goods, and toiletries to support those in need.
Donations will be handed to Renew Church in Fourways, which distributes food hampers every Wednesday to identified beneficiaries with dignity and accountability.
The team is committed to ensuring every contribution makes a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Learners from Parklands College in Cape Town have won the Coronation Top Investor Challenge: Schools Edition, beating hundreds of teams nationally.
Using R1 million in virtual capital, teams built investment portfolios and navigated fictional market scenarios to develop critical financial skills.
Reuben Rietoff and Mbali Nhuku, known as the Cashflow Co-Pilots, each won R25,000 in Coronation unit trust vouchers, while their school received a R50,000 cash prize.
The competition introduced many learners to investing for the first time, helping them apply classroom theory to real-world financial decision-making.
Coronation continues to support youth development through bursaries and structured workplace programmes to build a strong future pipeline for the financial sector.
