Johannesburg Friends Turn Compassion into Action
Story 1
Two Johannesburg friends, Bonolo Pule and Tinotenda Ndudzo, launched HuggingHandsZA after witnessing hardship in the city’s streets.
The volunteer-led initiative connects willing helpers with communities in need. It supports projects from orphanages to soup kitchens.
Inspired by the spirit of Ubuntu, their name reflects love in action. Hands that hug each other are a symbol of connection and care.
HuggingHandsZA aims to make volunteering easy by linking people who want to give time with causes that need support.
What began as a simple conversation now grows into a movement spreading kindness across Johannesburg.
