Sandton Communities Come Together Planting Trees

Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo brought communities and other stakeholders together at Mushroom Farm Park in Sandton for a tree-planting initiative.
Participants planted trees and worked to protect green spaces, while City Parks used the event to teach young people about environmental care.

Cape Town Art Auction Raises Funds for Rescue Animals

Cape Town’s RePAWposed Art Exhibition and Auction raised a record R70,200 for TEARS Animal Rescue, up from R50,500 last year.
Artists and members of the public transformed unwanted paintings from TEARS charity shops and auctioned them at Noordhoek Art Point Gallery in July.
Seven rescue dogs also created artworks, which were sold alongside the other pieces.
The fundraiser brought together artists, animal lovers and the community to support TEARS’ work caring for rescue animals.
