Applicants must have provisional university acceptance, an average of at least 70 percent, and marks of at least 70 percent in Mathematics and English.
They must also be under 30 and demonstrate financial need.

Animal welfare group, Funda Nenja, is using the bond between children and dogs to teach responsibility and build confidence in Mpophomeni, KwaZulu-Natal.
The organisation has spent 16 years teaching children to care for and train their dogs while promoting animal welfare.
It also runs an after-school feeding scheme, providing hot meals to children twice a week.
The organisation recently delivered food hampers, vegetable crops and winter support items to families in Mpophomeni.
