UJ's Future Forward Fun Run reaches 10-year milestone

The University of Johannesburg will host the 10th anniversary of its Steps 2 UJ Future Forward Fun Run, marking a decade of community impact.
The event, which will take place at the AW Muller Stadium, has raised more than R4 million to date.
The funds raised through the run will be dedicated to supporting academically deserving students who fall into the “Missing Middle" category who do not qualify for government financial aid and are unable to afford tuition fees.
The event has enjoyed high-profile support, with previous participants including South Africa’s Minister of Higher Education and Training, Buti Manamela and UJ Vice-Chancellor Professor Letlhokwa Mpedi.
The initiative highlights ongoing efforts to address funding challenges faced by many academically deserving students across the country.

5th Clarens Arts Festival underway

Joburg advances economic Inclusion with intern pay Increase

The City of Johannesburg Council has taken a significant step toward strengthening youth development and economic inclusion by approving an increase in the monthly stipend for undergraduate interns.
The decision was made during the city’s 48th Extraordinary Council meeting on the 31st of March.
The adjustment aligns with the current national minimum wage and reflects the City's commitment to ensuring fair compensation for young people who are entering the workforce through structured development programmes.
The monthly stipend for student interns will increase from R3,500 to R4,900 Effective from the 1st of July.
