G20 ‘dry run’ to disrupt traffic routes in Joburg, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni

Motorists in Johannesburg, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni are warned to brace themselves for major traffic disruptions today and tomorrow.
This comes as authorities prepare for operational readiness ahead of the upcoming G20 Leaders’ Summit next month.
High-security routes -including the N1, N3, N12, M1, R21, R24, and R512 will be affected.
The operation will result in temporary road closures, lane restrictions, and rolling traffic stops between 9-am and 1-pm today, and between 8am and 2pm tomorrow.
The joint operation involves the Road Traffic Management Corporation, the South African Police Service and various metro police departments.

International tourists increase in SA
