Electricity Minister, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, has partnered with universities and colleges to develop the skills needed for the country's R2.2-trillion Integrated Resource Plan 2025.
This collaboration aims to build the necessary technical expertise, to support the plan's goal of adding 105 gigawatts of new energy capacity by 2039.
The partnership is also expected to create jobs, reduce reliance on coal, and support a shift towards cleaner energy sources.
