A nationwide mentorship tour is encouraging young people to build confidence, improve financial knowledge, and prepare for a stronger future. During a free mentorship talk held in Melrose, Ashirus Monhla, known as Leadership Monhla, encouraged young people to start learning about money from an early age. Monhla said financial understanding is no longer optional for the youth, especially as many countries face economic uncertainty.He urged teenagers to learn basic financial principles such as saving, budgeting, investing, and understanding how markets work, saying these skills will help them better prepare for future challenges.

Kadin Strydom, nicknamed “The Bulldozer will train with professional coaches and compete against local sides. The Grade Seven learner has already been named player of the match three times and is training with the Southern KZN squad. During the tour, Kadin will visit cities including Venice and Rome while gaining experience against international teams and learning different playing styles.

Athletes in Bedfordview pushed themselves to the limit during the Spartan Baby Badass Ultra. This is a gruelling 24-hour endurance event that raised more than 800 000 rand for charity. Participants took part in continuous running, rowing and swimming challenges, with runners required to complete a 4.167km loop every hour for 24 hours straight. The event, to tests endurance, discipline and mental strength through extreme physical challenges.Now in its fifth year, the event reached its maximum number of runner registrations and also introduced indoor rowing and swimming categories for the first time.
