Northwood School donates 20 mattresses to support Local children

Northwood School in Durban has donated 20 mattresses to the Domino Foundation to support children at local early childhood centres.
The school released the mattresses during upgrades to its boarding facilities and transferred them to the organisation for redistribution.
Community members will refurbish the mattresses before they are delivered to 36 ECD centres supported by the foundation, where they will be used for children’s daily rest periods.

It’s all systems go for the 2026 Cape Town International Jazz Festival, returning this week to the Cape Town International Convention Centre with around 20,000 music lovers expected.
The two-day festival starting on Friday will feature international stars like the Yellowjackets, alongside South African legends including Scorpion Kings, Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse, and Nduduzo Makhathini.
Organisers say the event will create thousands of temporary jobs in planning, production, and security, while celebrating African talent and bringing music fans together from across Cape Town and beyond.
