Residents of Chartwell are coming together to support Chrysalis Academy, a vital school for neurodiverse children.
After a fire damaged much of the school last year, the community has rallied behind a fundraising campaign to help rebuild and expand the facilities.
Parent Nadia Brink is leading efforts to raise R50,000 for new equipment and an early childhood development centre.
The academy aims to welcome more gifted and unique learners from the Fourways area as demand for specialised support grows.
Residents are encouraged to contribute by visiting the BackaBuddy campaign or messaging the school directly.

South Korea has recorded its highest birth rate growth in over 40 years, with a 6.9 percent increase in births from January to May.
Statistics Korea says over 106,000 babies were born during this period, the sharpest rise since data tracking began in 1981.
Officials link the growth to more women in their early 30s getting married, as marriage is closely tied to childbirth in the country.
