Joburg Residents Called To Join War on Potholes

The City of Johannesburg is calling on all residents to join the "War on Potholes" by reporting potholes and other road defects across the metro.
The "War on Potholes" campaign brings together teams from the Johannesburg Roads Agency to fix the city's roads.
The initiative will undertake various activities including daily road repairs, resurfacing, shoulder cutting, verge maintenance, pavement re-instatement, and road marking to improve the city's roads.
Speaking at the launch of the campaign Johannesburg's Executive Mayor Dada Morero says residents' participation will help improve roads and but also helping to shift the narrative from doubt to action:

Sandton based innovation agency, Base Five has launched the DUT Smart Robotics Lab to drive tech transformation in Africa.
The lab developed in partnership with Durban University of Technology Moses Kotane Research Institute, and merSETA aims to equip South Africa's youth with practical skills in robotics, automation, and AI.
Base Five CEO & Co-founder Tlangelani Manzini says with this project the goal is to ensure that young people in South Africa are not left behind as the world moves forward.
