The Field Market at Field & Study Park in Sandton is marking its 10th year of operation.
The market began as a small local initiative and has grown into a regular community event hosting more than 140 traders.
Vendors sell artisanal food, handmade goods and lifestyle products.
Founder Handri Cooley established the market to create trading opportunities for small businesses.
She says the market has always been about people creating a space where community, creativity and small businesses can thrive together.

South African authors walkaway with World’s Best Vegan Book

South African authors Louis Jansen van Vuuren and Isabella Niehaus have won World’s Best Vegan Book at the 2025 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards with There’s a Vegan on My Verandah, marking the book’s second global win.
The awards, recognise excellence in food and wine publishing worldwide, with winners selected for content, design and cultural contribution.
The pair first won the title in 2023, followed by a 2024 win for their second book, Earthling Food, before reclaiming the top vegan category in 2025.

Alexforbes Angel Wings crew participate in Cape2Rio 2025 yacht race

The Alexforbes Angel Wings crew will represent South Africa in the Cape2Rio 2025 yacht race, starting on 27 of this month, sailing from Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro.
All 6-sailors come through the Royal Cape Yacht Club Sailing Academy and have secured qualification by finishing third overall in the West Coast Offshore Race.
