Joburg Tourism has partnered with Soweto Fashion Week to give emerging designers direct access to buyers, media and new customers at the Autumn/Winter 2026 showcase.
The event will run from 28 April to 1 May at the Soweto Theatre, where designers will present collections and sell products through an on-site market.
Participating small businesses will use the platform to build brand visibility, secure orders and grow their networks.
Featured brands include Africa Fashion Alive, Odwa by Milli, Scenty by Nonkosi and Season Creations Accessories.

SA sets Guinness World Records title with a 15.98-metre bunny chow

South Africa has set a new Guinness World Records title with a 15.98-metre bunny chow built at Bhai’s Lounge in Centurion.
Fire Water Earth Productions and Bhai’s Lounge used a custom 17-metre oven to bake a single loaf, then filled it with 40 kilograms of lamb curry and 10 kilograms of sugar bean curry.
Adjudicator Mbali Nkosi monitored the process and confirmed the record after measuring the final dish.
Officials from the Tshwane Municipality inspected the site and enforced health and safety compliance during the attempt.
