South African universities Entrepreneurship Director Edwell Gumbo says supporting young innovators and integrating entrepreneurship into higher education is important.

The City of Tshwane has rolled out the ThibaDiLeaks campaign, targeting areas like Mamelodi, Nellmapius, and Moreletapark to curb water losses.
The initiative has already yielded positive results, with dozens of pipe leaks repaired, meters fixed, sewer blockages cleared, and illegal connections removed.
To ensure sustainability, two dedicated repair teams will focus on key wards, supported by advanced technologies such as pressure-monitoring sensors, valve replacements, and soft-start protocols.
Additionally, a new digital dashboard will track water consumption and losses, enabling the city to manage resources more efficiently and meet national water conservation objectives.

Two University of the Western Cape students, Sisonke Mfeketho and Diteboho Shabalala, have claimed first place in the prestigious Johannesburg Stock Exchange University Investment Challenge.
The pair outperformed 7,700 students from 110 institutions in the highly competitive challenge.
