The Cape Cultural Collective hosted its annual fundraiser, Darling Buds of May, at a private residence in Wynberg.

A range of skilled entertainers came together for the event, which raised up to R50,000 to support the organisation's continued investment efforts in community arts programmes.

Close to 100 attendees gathered, reflecting the community's support for the Cape Cultural Collective's commitment to fostering inclusivity in the arts.

Chairperson of the Cape Cultural Collective board of directors, Zenariah Barends, said the event celebrated not only music and performance, but also the Cape Cultural Collective’s nearly two decades of promoting social cohesion and development through the arts.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation has launched the Nelson Mandela Legacy Sporting Series, a platform that brings together major sporting initiatives aimed at driving social impact and promote unity through sport.

The series includes the Nelson Mandela Marathon in Cape Town and the Mandela Day Walk and Run in Johannesburg and Tshwane.

The events form a shared journey of participation and action, connecting communities across cities.

The City of Johannesburg will host The Jozi aMuse Festival of Museums from the 20th of May, offering an immersive cultural experience, including a "Routes of Resistance" Soweto tour, gallery visits and evening events.

The curated, citywide experience brings together Johannesburg’s leading museums, galleries and cultural spaces into one connected cultural moment through a scenic City Sightseeing Bus journey over 4 days.

The festival will include site visits and tours to Constitution Hill, Wits Art Museum, and Museum Africa among others.
