Gauteng Premier announces second instalment of Nasi Ispani programme

The Gauteng provincial government’s mass recruitment campaign Nasi Ispani will be making a return to the province.

Premier Panyaza Lesufi announced at a media briefing on Thursday that the second instalment of the Nasi Ispani programme will be launched in the month of June.

The initial round primarily enlisted young people into the province’s crime prevention and traffic management programme.

Lesufi says this time; the emphasis will be on skills development.

The call came at the opening of an investment conference that was held in the French capital.

As South Africa’s 14th biggest investor, France has contributed more than R70 billion in South African projects.

Mashatile emphasized that South Africa is actively reforming its economic landscape to attract more foreign investment.
