Melville community is preparing for The Happening, taking place on 28 March 2026.
The free, family-friendly street festival aims to bring residents, artists, and visitors together through live music, street theatre, markets, art workshops, roaming performers and a colourful Community Parade, celebrating creativity and community spirit.
Ahead of the event, volunteers are invited to clean streets, paint murals, remove tags, and decorate public spaces, helping brighten up 7th Street and 4th Avenue.
Donations of cleaning products, paint, and brushes can be dropped off at Ziggy’s Pet Pamperium, while volunteers can join the clean-up at The Old Dukes Burgers.
