The recruiter stepped in to send him money for transport and a small extra amount to help him stay connected on the day of the interview.

The Polar Bear Dive challenge takes place annually at Emmarentia Dam in Johannesburg during winter, coinciding with the Southern Hemisphere winter solstice. Divers brave near freezing water temperatures in a controlled event organised by the Normalair Underwater Club, testing endurance, focus and cold water diving skills.
Alongside the challenge, participants also carry out an underwater clean up, removing litter and debris from the dam floor in low visibility conditions.
