Preschool Collects 1,200 Tins for Families

Little Miracles Preschool in Randburg collected more than 1,200 tins of food during its Mandela Day drive to support families in need.
Parents, teachers and families donated the food, which Charity Begins With Me sorted and packed into food parcels.
The preschool has supported the organisation through annual donation drives, contributing food, stationery and other essential supplies.
The latest collection will help provide food parcels to vulnerable families in the community.

The Forest Brings Dance to Baxter Theatre

Award-winning children’s dance production The Forest will run at the Baxter Theatre Centre in Cape Town, from 31 July to 15 August 2026.
The production combines contemporary dance, music, animation and audience participation to involve children in the performance.
The show explores the connection between people and nature through a story inspired by Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka’s Forest Song.
The Forest received an Ovation Award for Artistic Excellence at the National Arts Festival Fringe and is aimed at children from Grade R to Grade 5.

Colleagues Raise R59,000 for Stroke Recovery

Colleagues of Animal Health & Hydro therapy assistant Isaac Imed raised more than R59,000 after he suffered a stroke on 5 July.
The team launched a crowdfunding campaign to help cover Isaac's medical and living expenses while he recovers.
Nearly 100 supporters helped the fundraiser exceed its R50,000 target within four days.
Isaac, who has worked at the rehabilitation centre for 11 years, is showing early improvements in his speech as he continues his recovery.
