Eighty nine children living with cerebral palsy in rural KwaZulu Natal have received specialised buggies, giving them greater comfort and mobility while easing the daily burden on their caregivers.
The initiative, led by Boikanyo The Dion Herson Foundation and the Rotary Club of Rosebank, saw volunteers fit the buggies at hospitals in Nqutu and Pomeroy for children who had often relied on being carried by family members.
The new buggies will help improve the children's quality of life while making everyday care easier for their families.
