South Africa has introduced two new visa categories, STAGES and MEETS this is to attract international talent to the country's exhibitions, conferences, and film projects.
The schemes promise faster visa approvals, within hours through an online application process.
The Federated Hospitality Association's National Chairperson Rosemary Anderson says this move aims to revive the business events sector and strengthen South Africa's global position.

Sandtonview School Learners Benefit from E-Learning Initiative

116 Grade 11 learners at Sandtonview Combined School have received e-learning devices as part of a sponsorship initiative by ElectroMechanica and Odin Education.
Each pupil was provided with a tablet loaded with educational resources and data, as well as access to a rewards programme.
The school will have a full-time liaison to help teachers use the technology well.
The initiative aims to prepare learners for the digital age and bridge the educational gap in disadvantaged communities.

South Africans Unite to Help Stranded Footballers Return Home

South Africans are coming together to help bring home stranded young footballers from Europe.
34 Cape Town players and 4 coaches from BT Football Academy were left stuck after competing in a tournament in Spain earlier this month.
When it was time to return, they discovered their flights had never been booked.
Thanks to generous donations 11 players and one coach are set to return home today.
Donations are still ongoing to help bring the rest of the group home
