Northlands Primary Turns Zebra Crossing into Daisy Crossing
Story 2
Northlands Primary School in Durban North has brightened up the school drop-off routine by turning a zebra crossing into a “Daisy Crossing.” Two teachers painted a cheerful field of daisies on the crossing to make it safer for children and bring a smile to parents and motorists navigating the morning traffic.
The initiative is part of the school’s efforts to manage drop-off and pick-up for over 1,000 learners each day while raising awareness about pedestrian safety.
Inspired by a similar project in Cape Town, the Daisy Crossing adds a playful touch to the busy school morning.
