Izibusiso Foundation Delivers 156 Food Parcels to Orlando East Families

The Izibusiso Community Foundation has distributed 156 food parcels to underprivileged residents in Orlando East through the Gauteng Department of Social Development’s food funding programme.
Founder Mbali Masinga says the parcels, which include mealie meal, samp, flour, sugar, cooking oil and tea, were prioritised for unemployed residents and child-headed households after demand exceeded supply.
The foundation has been encouraged to reapply for a second batch.
Masinga says beneficiary numbers continue to grow, particularly at weekly vegetable collections and the soup kitchen, with pensioners and children among those prioritised.

Youth Pedal Project Gives Children in Lesotho Bicycles

Children in the Mantsa Settlement, Lesotho are set to receive bicycles through the Youth Pedal Project.
The initiative has collected over 24 bikes and raised R6,440 to cover helmets and transport.
The first six bicycles will be handed over in March 2026, with the remaining 18 going to other children in need.
Local partners, including Lesotho Bike Hangar and government supporters, are helping refurbish and distribute the bikes.
Cycling workshops will teach the children safe riding.
