Morningside Bowls Club has capped 2025 with a season of medals, milestones, and standout performances, earning the title of Johannesburg Bowling Association (JBA) District’s Club of the Year.The club excelled in both provincial and national competitions, with its Saturday league teams leading the way. The men’s Premier Fours claimed gold, while the ladies’ Premier Fours took silver. Strong community engagement and support from long-term sponsors also helped make 2025 a landmark year for Morningside.

The Ryu Ken Chi (RKC) Dojo marked a major milestone in 2025, celebrating 10 years since its opening. The Rivonia Kendo Club is at the Rivonia Sports Club in Paulshof. What started in February 2015 as a small kendo group has grown into South Africa’s largest kendo dojo.The club offers kendo, ee-eye-doh, and jodo at two Johannesburg locations.The anniversary year highlighted the dojo’s journey, including moments of pride and challenges. A standout achievement was the dojo’s representation of South Africa’s national teams at three European championships.
