Door of Hope Children’s Mission will host a golf day on 21 May at Glenvista Country Club in Johannesburg South to raise funds for vulnerable children in its care.
The organisation currently cares for 66 children and says proceeds will support housing, medical care and daily needs.
Community members and businesses can enter teams, sponsor holes or donate prizes to support the fundraiser.
Funds raised will go directly towards ongoing care for abandoned and vulnerable children at the mission.

Bambisanani Partnership delivers UK aid to KZN communities

The Bambisanani Partnership has delivered more than 80 boxes of donated goods from the United Kingdom to rural communities in KwaZulu-Natal.
The shipment included sports kit, clothing, books and sanitary products, transported by UK-based supporters and partner organisations.
Volunteers in the UK and South Africa sorted and distributed the items to schools and community groups across the region.
The programme supports local initiatives in sport, education and youth development in rural KZN.

Garden Route named world’s best road trip in global study

The Garden Route in the Western and Eastern Cape has been ranked the world’s best road trip by Autotrader in a global study assessing scenery, road quality, weather, and driving experience.
SANParks spokesperson JP Louw says the route includes the Wilderness, Knysna, and Tsitsikamma sections of the Garden Route National Park.
He says visitors can explore forests, rivers, coastlines, and wildlife, with activities such as canoeing, hiking and coastal walks:
