Learners from a group called Mastered Seeds at Sentinel Primary School in Phuthaditjhaba are using robotics and technology to explore new ways of growing food.
Their Project CROP, which stands for Controlled Robotics Organic Production, combines agriculture with robotics in the classroom.
The project looks at how technology can help make food production more efficient and sustainable.

The Parliamentary Monitoring Group will take over ParliMeter, an online tool that allows the public to track the work of Memebers of Parliament and Ministers in Parliament.
It records attendance, parliamentary questions, bills, committee meetings and responses from Ministers.
This is to make it easier for the public to see and track whether MPs and ministers are carrying out their parliamentary duties.
PMG says it will continue developing the tool to give the public easier access to information about Parliament.

South African maskandi musician Khuzani Mpungose has been honoured in Oxford in the United Kingdom.
He received the Cultural Icon in Maskandi Music Award at the Nelson Mandela Leadership Awards and Diplomatic Summit on Monday.
The award recognises his contribution to music and culture, and was presented by Oxford Lord Mayor Councillor Chewe Munkonge.
Khuzani has also won awards in the United States and South Africa, including a South African Music Award for Best Maskandi Album in 2024.
