SA Garden Wins Best in Show at Chelsea Flower Show
Story 2
South Africa has won gold and Best in Show at the Chelsea Flower Show in London with a garden inspired by life after wildfires in the Fynbos biome.
The award winning display, led by Leon Kluge, featured burnt Protea structures, indigenous plants and flowing water elements to show how nature recovers after fire.
Heavy rain in the Western Cape and flight disruptions nearly prevented the flowers from reaching the United Kingdom, but the team managed to complete the exhibit in time.
The garden will now be recreated in Stanford in the Western Cape in September.

Story 3
A 28 year old insurance specialist, Tristan Brophy, has returned to the SA Children’s Home in Cape Town, South Africa for an emotional homecoming visit that brought his journey full circle.
Brophy, who grew up at the home in Cape Town, spoke to current residents and carers about his upbringing, sharing how the structure and support he received helped shape his life today.
He encouraged the children to believe in themselves and to understand that their circumstances do not define their future, while also reflecting on the importance of basic comforts often taken for granted.
Home officials say staff were moved by his visit and inspired by his story of resilience and success beyond care.
