Food Lovers Market launches Hunger Month campaign
Story 1
Food Lover’s Market has launched its 10th annual Hunger Month campaign in the country, targeting 10 million meals this month.
The retailer is working with FoodForward SA and supplier partners to recover surplus food and convert customer donations of 47cents per meal at checkout into food distribution for households facing hunger.
The campaign draws on research showing high levels of food insecurity, with many families reducing portions or skipping meals as coping strategies.
Since its launch, Hunger Month has delivered more than 21.5 million meals, with this year’s drive focused on expanding participation across its national retail network.
