South African National Parks has successfully moved 42 elephants from Addo Elephant National Park’s Main Camp to the newly secured Kabouga section. This move helps expand the elephants’ habitat and supports ecological balance in the area. The relocation, which took place last week, was carefully planned and carried out by a team of experts, ensuring the safety and well-being of the elephants. Park Manager Roland Januarie noted that Addo is home to over 700 elephants and has a strong record of conservation. SOUND

The Central Energy Fund has officially handed over leased assets and R5 billion in funding to launch the South African National Petroleum Company. This new entity was formed by merging three CEF subsidiaries iGas, the Strategic Fuel Fund, and PetroSA. The creation of SANPC aligns with President Cyril Ramaphosa’s 2020 call to stabilize and refocus State-Owned Entities to boost economic growth. CEF Group Chairperson Ayanda Noah highlighted the strategic importance of SANPC in securing South Africa’s energy supply amid global geopolitical challenges.

The event is more than just a tea party, it's a heartfelt fundraising initiative supporting four animal welfare organisations and a vital sterilisation drive in Atlantis.
The initiative, led by Run For The Dogs in partnership with Paws A While, Pit Pals, and The WOWproject, will provide 100 dogs in the Atlantis area with essential veterinary care.
Many of these animals live in communities where access to treatment is limited, and this campaign will help give them a better quality of life.
