Joburg duo raises R34,000 for children

Johannesburg residents Susan and Patsy have raised more than R34,000 for children with cancer by completing the Hyrox Pro Doubles Women's Challenge.
The pair raised the money in just 40 days for Rainbows and Smiles, which supports children with cancer and life-threatening illnesses and their families.
They took on the demanding fitness competition after only one month of training.
The funds will help the organisation continue providing emotional, social and financial support to affected families.

The 2026 Rocking Future Career Expo Roadshow visited The King's College in Bryanston last month, giving learners access to career guidance and educational opportunities.
Learners attended presentations on study options and life after matric and met representatives from private tertiary institutions.
The expo forms part of a nationwide initiative that connects high school learners with career advisors and educational resources to help them make informed decisions about their futures.

Gqeberha to host 33rd SPAR Women's Challenge

The 33rd SPAR Women's Challenge will take place in Gqeberha on 26 September.
Organisers have increased the entry cap to 6 000 participants after last year's race sold out.
The event will again feature 5km and 10km races and has expanded participation opportunities for differently abled athletes.
Race shirts and goodie bags will, for the first time, be produced by the Association for the Physically Disabled in Nelson Mandela Bay.
