Funda Community Training Centre celebrated its 13th anniversary with a career expo in Diepkloof, Soweto, in partnership with Black Child Rise, TCFD, and iLAB Foundation. The event offered skills development and career guidance to empower youth. Highlights included training opportunities in digital skills, RE5 qualifications, fashion, and the upcoming Culinary Arts Programme. Success stories include students gaining bursaries, jobs, and university access. The centre encourages ongoing youth engagement to explore career paths and build skills for future employability.

Johannesburg has solidified its position as Africa’s top data centre market, ranking in the global top 10 emerging markets in Cushman & Wakefield’s 2025 report.
Strong demand, reliable power, and strategic planning support its growth. Nairobi and Lagos are also rising contenders, offering sustainability and affordability, though challenges remain.
South Africa leads in colocation capacity, particularly in Johannesburg, while Cape Town shows future potential. Power availability is key to site selection, driving investor interest across Africa’s evolving digital infrastructure landscape.

The 10th Annual Green Youth Indaba, took place at the Durban International Convention Centre this week. The two-day event,  focused on empowering the youth to participate in and contribute to the green economy.
This year's theme, "A Decade of Action: Driving Sustainable Innovation," highlights the network's commitment to youth-led climate action and innovation. The event serves as a national platform for young changemakers, industry leaders, and innovators to connect, develop solutions, and explore funding opportunities, with a focus on local action addressing global challenges.
