The project will restore 130 hectares of river landscape, plant 20 000 trees, improve water quality and help reduce flooding through a partnership with local organisations and the City of Johannesburg.
More than 1 000 women will receive training to develop income generating businesses linked to environmental restoration, while new technology will help the city plan for future climate challenges.

The outdoor library was donated by the Rotary Club of Grahamstown Sunset and installed with the help of Friends of Bots volunteers to encourage reading and book sharing within the community.
Visitors are invited to borrow a book and replace it with another, ensuring the collection continues to grow for everyone to enjoy.

Residents, businesses and volunteers from across Johannesburg have transformed the bedroom of 25 year old Luciano Louw at his home in Vrededorp, creating a safer and more comfortable space after he was left paralysed by a shooting two years ago.
The Sky Foundation led the project, with months of planning and community donations helping to renovate the room and improve Luciano's quality of life.
The foundation is now continuing its support by renovating the family's bathroom and encouraging more people to get involved.
