The City of Johannesburg's Department of Economic Development in partnership with 22ON Sloane and the Wholesale and Retail SETA hosted a series of Entrepreneurship Boost Workshops in Braamfontein.
The workshops held earlier this month equipped 300-township-based retailers with practical skills to grow and sustain their businesses.
Participants learned about customer service, stock management, and pricing strategies to improve their businesses.
Each attendee received a certificate of completion and a R5,000 grant to reinvest in their business.

Turkish Airlines Expands African Presence with Airlink Partnership

Turkish Airlines and South African airline Airlink have signed a partnership agreement to enhance Turkish Airlines' presence in Africa.
The agreement, effective from August 1 allows passengers to book seamless multi-sector journeys on a single ticket connecting Turkish Airlines' global network with Airlink's domestic and regional routes in South Africa and neighboring countries.
The partnership was formalized at a ceremony in Johannesburg attended by senior executives from both airlines.
