KZN schools serve up table tennis boost with China donation

Twenty-five schools in KwaZulu-Natal have received new table tennis equipment donated by the People’s Republic of China to help strengthen sport in schools.
The handover took place at Gardenia Primary School, where Deputy Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Bertha Peace Mabe said the initiative promotes equal access to sporting opportunities for learners.
The equipment includes foldable tables and accessories, which will be shared among participating schools to develop the sport.
Education officials say it will also help build discipline, teamwork and confidence among learners.
