Buckinghamshire Couple Fosters 59 Rescue Dogs
Teaser / Tailpiece story
A couple from Buckinghamshire in England have fostered 59 rescue dogs over the past 15 years, giving animals from Battersea Dogs Home a break from stressful kennel environments.
Nicole and Gary Wordsworth, who are now retired, welcome dogs for stays ranging from a few nights to 18 months.
Their time with the dogs also helps adoption staff understand their personalities, routines and needs, making it easier to find suitable permanent homes.
The couple say they plan to continue fostering because they love seeing the dogs relax and become more confident.
