The University of Johannesburg’s Sport Division, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, recently hosted a successful fundraising Golf Day at the Royal Johannesburg Golf Club.
With strong support from 20 corporate sponsors and alumni, the event raised around R260,000 to assist financially disadvantaged UJ Sport and Civil Engineering students.
Beyond the action on the course, the day fostered networking and community engagement.
Organisers say the initiative has set the tone for a sustainable fundraising model that could benefit even more students in the future.
