JMPD Cracks Down on Illegal Delivery Bikes in Rosebank
Story 1
The Johannesburg Metro Police Department is stepping up its efforts to deal with illegal and unsafe delivery bike activity outside Rosebank Mall.
This is part of a bigger citywide plan to keep roads safe and make sure drivers follow the rules.
JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla says there’s been a rise in delivery bikes breaking the law by blocking traffic, parking on pavements, speeding, and ignoring traffic lights.
15 motorbikes have been taken off the road for not following the rules.
JMPD says the goal is to protect both drivers and pedestrians and keep the city safe.
