Young South African Innovators head to Tunisia for global Science and Technology Festival

Three South African learners are set to showcase their research at the International Festival of Engineering Science and Technology next week.

The learners who earned medals at last year’s Eskom Expo for Young Scientists, will present projects on school logistics, aviation engineering, and artificial intelligence.

Eskom says the event highlights the country’s emerging scientific talent and gives young innovators a chance to contribute to global solutions.

The event will be held from 23rd of March and will include young scientists between the ages of 14 and 24.

Western Cape allocates R15m for Cricket World Cup preparations

Western Cape Cultural Affairs and Sport MEC, Ricardo Mackenzie, has welcomed the provincial government’s R15 million allocation for preparations ahead of next year’s men’s 50-over World Cup.

The funds will be allocated to Cricket Boland and the Western Province Cricket Association to support key infrastructure upgrades and construction.

The tournament will be hosted across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
