Residents, volunteers and local businesses are joining forces to reclaim the Corlett Drive corridor in Johannesburg through daily clean-ups, security patrols and community activities. Since April 2025, volunteers have collected rubbish, improved safety measures and organised weekly walks and runs that encourage families and residents to use public spaces again. Private security teams and community patrols are working together to make the area cleaner and safer.Chair of the Corlett Drive Improvement Precinct, Mark Pensharz has this to say:

South African-born Roelof Botha has been appointed to the board of directors of SpaceX following the company's major Wall Street debut. According to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Botha was elected as an independent common stock director. SpaceX said Botha's extensive experience with public companies and his strong audit committee background made him an ideal choice for the role. His appointment increases the number of SpaceX board members to nine and sees him join a leadership team that includes SpaceX chief operating officer Gwynne Shotwell and Google executive Donald Harrison. Botha's role will focus on capital protection and financial oversight, while Elon Musk remains chairman, CEO and chief technologist.

A group of Redhill learners have earned the honour of representing South Africa at the upcoming International Junior Maths Olympiad in Mongolia.The talented students secured their places on Team South Africa after completing a demanding selection process organised by the South African Junior Olympiads body. Over several months, they tackled multiple rounds of trials, homework assignments and intensive training before being chosen to compete against some of the world's brightest young mathematicians.
