A young entrepreneur from Limpopo has developed a WhatsApp based AI tutor to help South African learners access homework support, revision tools and quizzes in their home languages.
Tshaamano Mabuba created BuddyAI after recognising that many learners could not afford private tutoring, using technology to make quality educational support more accessible.
The platform has already helped learners improve their results, with one matric learner earning five distinctions before returning as a tutor to support others.

Mandela Day mission spreads warmth in Rosebank

Rosebank Union Church brightened Mandela Day by hanging more than 100 handmade scarves and beanies along its fence for anyone in need to take.
Volunteers with the 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day campaign also handed out bread and biscuits to recyclers, security guards, homeless people and other community members.
The annual initiative encouraged acts of kindness while helping people stay warm during the winter season.
