Sasol donation helps Meals on Wheels reach more people

Meals on Wheels Community Services in Vereeniging has received a R20 000 donation from Sasol Risiville to support its work caring for vulnerable members of the community.
The funding will help provide nutritious meals and essential support to elderly residents, people living with disabilities and families facing difficult circumstances across Emfuleni.
The donation will also help the organisation continue expanding its reach and supporting those who depend on its services.

Mandela Day surgical marathon brings hope to Mpumalanga patients

A team of specialist urologists from African Synergy Health is partnering with the Mpumalanga Department of Health this week to perform life changing surgeries for patients who have been waiting for treatment.
The initiative, running from 20 to 24 July as part of the Mandela Surgical Marathon, is taking place at Rob Ferreira Hospital and Cure Day Hospitals Mbombela to help reduce surgical waiting lists.
African Synergy Health founder and urologist Dr Viola Morolo says the goal is to complete 200 procedures during the surgical marathon.

Parkmore community restores neglected property for Mandela Day

Parkmore residents, volunteers and local businesses came together on Mandela Day to restore a derelict property that had become an eyesore opposite Montrose Primary School.
Volunteers spent the day painting the boundary wall after the property had stood abandoned for years, with all materials donated by local sponsors at no cost to the community association.
The project has helped improve the area's appearance while showing how communities can work together to create safer and more welcoming neighbourhoods.
