New squash series gives SA players home ranking opportunities
Story 2
An 11 tournament squash series backed by Assore will be staged in South Africa this year, allowing local players to earn PSA world ranking points at home without the usual travel costs.
The series will feature multiple events, including satellite and higher level tournaments, as well as junior and U23 competitions to support players at different levels.
Organisers say this domestic circuit will help South African players develop their skills and rankings more affordably, with an eye on larger international events and the sport’s inclusion in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Squash SA president Blaar Coetzee says this will elevate the players game
