Cllr Nothando Zondo leads career guidance drive in Soweto

Joburg Student Council member and Junior MMC for Economic Development, Cllr Nothando Zondo, led the Level Up Soweto career guidance initiative, aimed at empowering learners from Curro Protea Glen and surrounding schools, demonstrating how youth leadership can drive meaningful community impact.
Zondo, who also serves as Head Girl at Curro Protea Glen organised the programme to expose learners to career pathways, skills development opportunities and higher education prospects.
The event brought together stakeholders from the City of Johannesburg, the Department of Agriculture and Wits University to provide practical advice on subject choices and post-school opportunities.

Childline Western Cape launches major fundraising drive

Childline Western Cape will host an urgent fundraising concert in March as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.
The organisation aims to secure over R1.5 million which is needed to sustain its services to vulnerable children.
The event, titled Healing through the Arts: The Inaugural Concert, will take place at St George’s Cathedral in the Cape Town CBD and will feature performances by award-winning composer Benjamin Jephta and acclaimed pianist, Kyle Shepperd.
The organisation's executive director Ricki Cooper says Childline Western Cape functions as a non-statutory organisation that plays a crucial role in supporting at-risk children across the province.
The concert will take place on Friday the 6th of March at 7.30pm.
