Gauteng transport MEC Kedibone Diale-Tlabela says efforts are underway to enhance and create an e-hailing app for which all stakeholders in the province will be responsible.
Speaking during a media briefing on Monday Diale-Tlabela highlighted the issue of safety surrounding the use of e-hailing platforms, which the app will aim to address.
She says they have assigned their Gautrain team to help enhance and develop the idea further:

Two skaters from Kimberley in the Northern Cape will take part in an international skating competition in Russia.
The Grand Skate tour will bring together some of the best skaters from across the globe, offering the duo a unique opportunity to not only test their skills against elite athletes, but also to proudly represent both South Africa and the African continent in a space where the continent is often underrepresented.
The pair will compete in the street skate-boarding category, a fast paced and highly technical style that demands creativity, precision and confidence.

The African Chess Confederation has pledged full support for South Africa's bid to host the 2030 World Chess Olympiad, a prestigious event that would be held on African soil for the first time since its inception in 1924.
The bid, backed by Chess South Africa, the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, and SASCOC, aims to unite Africa and showcase the country's event-hosting capabilities.
If successful, the event would inspire young people and give fans a chance to see top players in action.
