Carebears and partners bring Easter joy to children in Fourways

The Carebears, a group of Cedar residents in Fourways, together with Sotheby’s International Realty Fourways and the Renew Foundation, hosted an Easter celebration for 120 children.
The event included games, food, music and entertainment, with children taking part in singing, dancing, colouring and obstacle courses.
An Easter Bunny appearance added to the excitement, becoming a highlight of the day for many of the children.
Organisers say the initiative is part of ongoing community efforts to support children and create moments of joy.

Gift of the Givers teams have been on the ground across the Western Cape, bringing much needed support as two cold fronts moved through the province.
Spokesperson Ali Sablay says response teams have been working around the clock to assist communities, particularly in vulnerable areas, ensuring people receive help as quickly as possible.
Relief efforts have focused on providing warm meals, blankets and essential supplies, while working closely with local authorities to reach those most in need. Assessments are also ongoing to guide further support.
The organisation says it remains ready to continue assisting as winter conditions persist, with resources in place to respond where needed.
