ACSA announces temporary airport operations

Airports Company South Africa has closed some arrival roads at O.R. Tambo International Airport as part of security preparations for the G20 Summit.
The closures, which took effect on Tuesday, include a full shutdown of Cargo Road, with access limited to Voortrekker Road up to the SAA Cargo area.
ACSA says Arrivals Road is also closed, and all vehicles are being redirected to Parkade 2 North and South for drop-off and pick-up.
Meanwhile the aviation company says its security systems are in place to welcome foreign heads of state.

Meanwhile, Minister of Transport Barbara Creecy says the OR Tambo International Airport, Waterkloof Air Force Base and Lanseria Airport will serve as entry points for the heads of state attending the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg this weekend.
Creecy says the country’s ports of entry have met all security and safety requirements needed to manage the influx of international delegates:
