President Cyril Ramaphosa has awarded the Order of Ikhamanga in Silver during a national honours ceremony held in Pretoria, recognising outstanding South Africans for their contribution to arts, culture and heritage.

Music producer Oskido dedicated the recognition to fellow Kwaito pioneers including Mdu Masilela and Arthur Mafokate, saying the honour belongs to everyone who helped shape the genre from its early days

A national virtual investing competition is giving South African high school learners the chance to build financial skills and explore careers in investment management.
The Coronation Top Investor Challenge allows teams of learners to manage virtual investment portfolios while learning about economics, money management and decision making through interactive online simulations.
The free competition runs from June to July, with prize money of R120 000 available for the top performing team and their school. Organisers say the challenge is helping young people gain confidence with money and exposing them to opportunities in the financial sector at an early age.
